Historic Move

The Jelly Bean Tree Artisans, now The River Artisans, moved to 26B Main St. after almost four decades in the Main Street Arts Building down the road.  Our shop’s new home is in the building that used to house the Quality Impressions Print Shop, directly across from the Saxtons River Inn.

When we closed the doors in the The Main Street Arts Building, we knew it would be near to a miracle to have the new space ready to open by Wednesday Aug. 28. Never underestimate the power of motivated members because, amazingly, that is exactly what happened.

Floors were cleaned, sanded, polyurethaned, some displays built, others cleaned and painted. Everything was then moved from the old place to the new location including years and years of  paperwork.

Finally displays were set up, windows decorated and merchandise laid out with a designer’s flare.

“Our membership is re-energized. We are looking forward to updating not only our shop and displays, but [also] our policies, membership and merchandise. We are looking forward to planning  special events, gallery showing, workshops and more, beginning with our Grand Opening this fall”
