Winter Classes at River Artisans

We will hold a series of Sunday afternoon workshops beginning the last week of January.

Sunday, Jan. 26 from 2–4 p.m. two veterans of Etsy Joan Lester and Debbi Wetzel will share their knowledge of how to sell on Etsy, an internet marketplace. Using the most up to date information and the latest version of Etsy the topics Lester and Wetzel will give information on registering, creating an account, how to post items for sale, and how to set up your shop.

On the following Sunday, Feb. 2 from 1:30–3:30 p.m., Kathleen Meeks will lead a Needle Felting workshop in which participants will learn how to sculpt figures and animals out of fleece. A bag of necessary tools and materials will be available for $10 and will include enough colored roving to make several projects.

Feb. 9, Joan Lester will lead a Round Robin Crochet class, from 12–4 p.m., with four separate 45-minute projects. Students may sign up for any or all of these projects which build upon each other: 1) single, double, and half double stitches 2) changing color 3) how to read a pattern and 4) an exploration of combined stitches.

On Feb. 23, from 2–4 p.m., a class in Blue Denim projects will be part of the “Blue Lights for Winter Nights” celebration in the village of Saxtons River.

On March 2, from 12-4 p.m., Debbi Wetzel will lead a class in painting the four seasons on mini canvasses.

All workshops will be held in oure class area in the back of the shop at 26 B Main Street in Saxtons River. Because space is limited, pre-registration is required. Class fee information is available by calling us at 802-869-2099 or by emailing
